We require 4-hour notice during operating hours for any cancellations. If you are unable to come to your appointment, or if you cancel without at least 4 hours notice, we reserve the right to charge 50% of the total of scheduled services.
How often should I get a facial?
In general, monthly facials are recommended to aid in the cell turn over process which happens approximately every 30 days. As we age, this cell turn over process slows down, contributing to dull sallow looking skin, fine lines, wrinkles, blackheads, congestion, and coarsely textured skin. Depending on your current skin condition, your esthetician will recommend a treatment plan specific to you.
What can I expect during a facial treatment?
Before you arrive, you will be asked to fill out a facial consultation form online. We offer a few facial options but most of our facials consist of a double cleanse, exfoliation, extractions, skin analysis, massage, mask, and hydration. All facials are uniquely customized to target your specific skincare needs.
Will my skin be red or irritated after my facial?
Slight redness is normal after a facial, especially after chemical exfoliants such as glycolic or alpha hydroxy acid, or you received a large amount of extractions. Certain skin types, especially those who tend to be more sensitive, can expect to experience more redness or flush post treatment.
How can I maintain the results at home on a daily basis?
Your esthetician will recommend products and advice for you to continue an optimal routine at home from our curated collection of products.
Could I schedule a facial waxing from Trim on the same day as my facial?
We encourage it! Schedule your wax appointment prior to your facial. Areas that were waxed will be carefully avoided during your facial exfoliation so as not to irritate the skin.
Is acupuncture safe?
One of the most striking aspects of acupuncture is the almost complete absence of adverse effects and complications from its use. Most patients find that the treatments are relaxing and cause minimal discomfort. Acupuncture is a safe technique, provided that practitioners are properly trained and follow appropriate techniques. Licensed practitioners of acupuncture use single-use, sterile disposable needles and have been trained regarding precautions and contraindications to acupuncture.
It is important to inform the practitioner of your medical history, medications as the acupuncture treatment may have to be modified or may not be appropriate.
How does acupuncture work?
Acupuncture is the stimulation, by insertion of needles, of specific points on the body which have the ability to alter various biochemical and physiological conditions. Acupuncture stimulates the release of endorphins, which are the body’s natural pain-relieving neurohormones. Acupuncture affects the functioning of the hormonal system, promotes a decrease in inflammation, increased circulation and relief from pain.
Is acupuncture painful? What does it feel like?
Acupuncture is usually a very comfortable treatment. Needles are very fine, metallic and as thin as a hair, making them quite painless upon insertion. Everyone experiences acupuncture differently, but most feel no pain or very minimal pain as the needles are inserted. You may experience a mild aching sensation or warmth around the needle site.

How many sessions of treatment will I need?
Many people start to see a significant difference within one to two treatments but some take longer to respond depending on the condition being treated. If no difference is felt by the end of the fifth or sixth treatment, the diagnosis of the condition should be reconsidered and further medical investigations may be needed.
Acute injuries are treated as soon as possible and often daily at first. Chronic conditions may need repeat maintenance treatments to maintain the momentum after an initial period of frequent treatments. Post treatment exercise and discipline in diet is extremely important for continued improvement and recovery.
Generally treatments every second day (Mon, Wed and Fri) would be considered frequent treatment, which is very rare. Maintenance treatments could range from weekly to monthly or when symptoms begin to recur.
